千代田トーストマスターズクラブ

例会は、10名のゲストの方に参加いただきました。
会長I上さんが総合司会行い、本日の言葉として「戦う」（Fight)という言葉をいただきました。I上さんは、毎日上司からたくさんの仕事を頼まれ大変ということでした。しかし、大変だからと逃げては解決しないので日々仕事と戦っているそうです。スピーチも逃げては解決しないので「戦う」を選ばれたそうです。
計時係りは、K木さん、投票係はK西さん、えーっと文法係はT石さん、例会レポータはF川が行いました。
新たに入会されたK西さんの入会式が、T石さんの司会で行われました。
ITコンサルティングファームでシステム導入を行われているK西さんは、書籍でトーストマスターズを紹介されており、感銘を受け入会を決意されたそうです。
K西さんのメンターには、会長のI上さんが選ばれました。
テーブルトピックスマスターO田さんは、「スピーチでは視覚が大きな影響を与える」という導入で、話を進められました。
K木さんからは、「みかけで得をした」経験について語っていただきました。子供のころ、黒縁のめがねをかけてかっこいい・頭がいいねといわれたことが得した経験だそうです。ただ、今はめがねを見て「弱そう」といった意見が聞かれ、あまり損得になる事はないということでした。
逆に見た目で損をした体験に関して。F川から「トーストマスターズを通して印象をよくしていきたい」とスピーチを行いました。
TPOに応じてどのように服装を変えているかという質問に関して、S山さんからスピーチをいただきました。色選びに関して、相手の好きそうな色と同じ色の服を着ることによって親近感を得るというゴマすり戦法をするそうです。
O宮さんは、周りに合わせて、浮かないように目立たないように色選びするという内容のスピーチを頂きました。
ゲストのI谷さんからは、暗い色だと落ち込むので「常に明るい色を選ぶようにし
ている」そうです。会社の暗い色の服を着ると体の細胞をふけさせるという教育を
受けた以来、明るい色の服を着るようにしているというスピーチを頂きました。
k西さんからは、尊敬する方の概観に関して話していただきました。直立不動でしっかりしたスタイルの方を見ると、かっこいいという印象を受けるということでした。
同じ質問に対して、H高さんからは、「服装はなるべくみないようにする」という
ことでした。

日本語の準備スピーチ１つと３つの英語の準備スピーチを聞くことができました。
最初のスピーチは、「ある老人の策略」ということでH口さんからいただきました。
ほめられるほうが伸びるか、たたかれたほうが伸びるかという質問で、大半の方がほめられたほうが伸びるということで話をされました。
ある老人の話をされました。悪口を言う悪がきに対して、悪口一回言うごとにお駄賃を上げることをしたがお駄賃をやらなければ悪口を言わなくなったという話をされました。
報酬を与えるだけでは人は満足できないという話をされました。
人はほめてはいけない、ほめるのではなく特徴を指摘すべきということでした。単にほめることは逆効果であり、相手のこだわりを見つけることが重要だそうです。そのこだわりを見つける必要なスキルは、相手を観察することとそれを伝えることだそうです。

次のスピーチは、英語でO宮さんからいただきました。
Titile :”How to interact with foreign countries”
She talked about her stories about visiting other countries as personally. She talked about her experience visiting Italy and was talked that she was invited to a family that she has never met and had dinner.   She says that “smile” is important and talks that she always did in Italy. She used a lot of pictures. One of the images was showing popular actor Nicholas Cage.  The man followed her and indicated that men in foreign countries are dangerous.

3rd speech was made by TM K.
Title: Japanese style confection store.
He started his speech with appreciating TM I’s contribution to previous Chiyoda Toast Master’s official Hanami party.  He talked about Japanese culture with tea ceremony and famous confection stores.
He indicated that it is good to get Japanese confections like “Kashiwa-mochi”, which makes people feel spring coming.  He showed “Jyo-nama gashi” to audience, may female audience reacted saying “I want to eat!”. He introduced a confection store “Sasama” in Tokyo.  He highly recommended to buy such confections and enjoy beautiful Japanese spring.

4th K. made 4th speech.
Title: Basic of filings
She started her speech asking “how do you file documents?”
She says that everybody has his or her own filing system.  She saw stuck of documents on a desk in her office and indicates that it is typical in Japanese office.  She gave an example of how documents are organized in many of local and national U.S. governments – showing that the same filing structure containing “Office, School, Hospital, Police, and Home”.
She indicates that standardizing is important. A lot of things are standardized, such as currency, time, etc, and we emphasizes that we should standardizing how we organize. She recommends her way of organizes documents – use Open Folder, which is a cover made of a paper folded.  She says that how to categorize does not matter since either way can allow to narrow down what he or she looks for.  Finally, she recommends a book “Chou seirihou”.

Unfortunately, 4th speaker TM K.’s speech was invalidated due to overtime, and I indicated to pick one of the speakers as best speaker.

M井さんがH口さんの論評をされました。H口さんは準備をさきにしていてチャンスがあればスピーチをされるスタイルが好ましいと話しました。

TM K evaluated TM O’s speech. He indicated that her selection for the speech was good considering the audience. Also “Her smile is good” to persuade audience. He added that he wanted her to show clear points.  He finally added that her speech was informative and wanted to hear more.

TM K. indicated TM. K’s speech about confections.  He highly evaluated smooth transition of his speech. Choice of content and visual aid was also effective.  The way he has chosen to share visual aid (Japanese confection) was smooth.  He added that he wanted to see details of the special Japanese confections’ stores with some pictures.

TM S. gave evaluation to TM K. He started his evaluation with appreciating her attendance to Chiyoda Toastmasters.  He highly welcomed that she used power point slide showing with big characters and content that was clear enough to understand what she tried to deliver effectively.  He added a comment at the end that he wanted to have more clear difference between Japan way and U.S. way.

I田さんが総合論評を行われ、K西さんに手配していただいた大量のうまい棒のおや
つの話をされました。多少見にくいが、例会プログラムを修正して頂、かずかずの
貢献をされている会長のI上さんの感謝を示しました。
