千代田トーストマスターズクラブってどんなところ? 突撃会員レポート2

みなさんこんにちは!

千代田トーストマスターズクラブの広報担当　NAOです。

さて、今回は千代田トーストマスターズクラブのことをみなさんにもっと知ってもらおう!

・・・ということで、始めた企画です。

 

 

今回の突撃レポートを受けてくださったのは、現在、千代田メンバーのA坂さん　です。

A坂さんは、千代田トーストマスターズクラブのムードメーカーです。

ハロウィンなどのイベントでは、あやしい女装をしてみんなを笑顔にしてしまう愛されキャラ。

トースト歴も長く、日本語も英語もスピーチされます。

慣れなのかノリなのか、原稿なしでぶっつけスピーチもできちゃいます。

 

 

そんなA坂さんに、トーストマスターズに入会する前の悩みや、きっかけ、入会によって得られたものなどについてお聞きしました。

 

 

では、「千代田トーストマスターズクラブ(以下千代田TMC)のA坂さん　突撃レポート」どうぞ!

A坂さん　こんにちは

今日は千代田TMCのことを

まだ知らない人のために、クラブの魅力やスピーチ上達のコツなど「生の声」を届けたいと思います。

いろいろと質問させてもらいますので、よろしくお願いします!

 

 

A坂さん:

はーい。お手柔らかにお願いします(^^)/

 

NAO  :

では、さっそく、一つ目の質問から入りたいと思います。

 

NAO:

A坂さんがトーストマスターズに入る前の悩みはどんなものがありましたか?

 

A坂さん:

実は、仕事で営業交渉で失敗したことがあったんです。

相手の主張や値引きを受け入れざるを得ない状況になりました。

自分が相手に言葉の打ち返しができなくて、何とかならないか。と思って入会を決めました。

 

NAO :

お仕事の失敗が入会のきっかけだったのですね。

ちなみにA坂さんのお仕事は「空港おじさん」とメンバーから言われていますが・・・

 

A坂さん:

あ、そうそう。空港おじさんです。税関関係の仕事をしています。

 

NAO :

税関関係のお仕事であれば、日本語だけでなく英語も場面によっては話す機会もありそうですね。

ところで、トーストマスターズに入会してから何年になりますか?

 

A坂さん:

6年です。

 

NAO :

6年というとベテラン層に入りますね。

 

A坂さん:

いえいえ。まだまだです。

私は過去にいろいろなTMCに入会しています。

最初は「新橋TMC」今は、「神奈川TMC」と「千代田TMC」の2か所に所属しています。

全国大会のお手伝いをした縁で、千代田TMCを知りました。

明るくてここならいいな。と思ったからです。

 

NAO :

千代田TMCに入会しようとした理由は明るいクラブだったからなんですね。

確かに、千代田TMCのメンバーは明るくてユニークな方が多いですね。

クラブによってだいぶ雰囲気が違いますからね。

 

では、次の質問です。千代田TMcでの印象的な出来事でどんなことが思い浮かびますか?

 

A坂さん:

印象的と言えば・・・熱海の合宿を思い浮かべます。

 

NAO:

千代田TMCは合宿があるんですね?

 

A坂さん:

あ、そうそう。すごく和気あいあいとしててね。

その人の社会的立場と内面とのギャップが見れるのも楽しいよね。

 

NAO:

A坂さんはムードメーカーですし、人の気持ちを察知して、相手の心を和ませてしまいます。

 

では、次の質問です。

TMCでどんなふうにA坂さんは自分が変わったと思いますか?

 

A坂さん:

そうだなぁ。仕事の「商談・交渉」もやりやすくなったかな。

他には・・・コスプレが堂々とできるようになったところとか。

 

NAO:

うふふ。A坂さんと言えば「あやしいコスプレ」ですからね。

確かに、コスプレが人前でできるってことは、人にどう思われるだろうか、とか考えたらできないですからね。

 

A坂さん:

そうそう。商談・交渉の場でも、自分主導で話ができるようになったよね。

自分の意志で自分をコントロールできるようになったと思うよ。

 

NAO:

それは素晴らしいですね。

では、最後の質問になります。

千代田TMCをPRするとしたら、誰にどんなメッセージを伝えますか?

 

A坂さん:

仕事やプライベートで悩んでいる人がいたら、ぜひ千代田TMCへ!

コスプレしたくでもできない人がいたらぜひ、千代田TMCへ!

 

NAO:

A坂さんありがとうございました。

「コスプレ」推しのメッセージですね(;^_^A

みなさん、全員がコスプレするクラブではないので怖がらなくても大丈夫ですからね。

どんなユニークな個性の人でも受け入れらる「心理的安全性」のあるクラブってことですよ。

今回のインタビューで、仕事で相手との交渉で失敗してしまったというA坂さんが

TMCのスピーチなどを重ねることによって自分主導で相手との交渉の際に言葉の打ち返しができるようになったというお話が聞けました。

What is Chiyoda Toastmasters Club like?

Member’s interview 2

 

Hello everyone!

I am NAO, the PR person of Chiyoda Toastmasters Club.

This time, I would like to let you all know more about Chiyoda Toastmasters Club!

I am very happy to have this opportunity to introduce you to the Chiyoda Toastmasters Club.

I am going to interview Mr.A.

 

Mr. A is the mood maker of Chiyoda Toastmasters Club.

He is a beloved character who makes everyone smile by dressing up as a funny-looking woman at Halloween,

 

He has been a toastmaster for a long time and speaks both English and Japanese.

he can give a speech without a script.

Now,I ‘ll ask him about the problems he had before joining Toastmasters, and what he gained by joining.

NAO :

Hi Mr.A.

Today, I will ask you various questions.

Let me start with the first question.

 

Mr.A:

Hi. Please be gentle with me(^^)/

 

NAO:

What kind of problems did you have before you joined Toastmasters?

 

 

Mr.A:

Actually, I had failed in sales negotiations at work.

I was forced to accept the other party’s claims and discounts.

I couldn’t get the other party to hit back, and I wondered if there was anything I could do about it.

So I decided to join the association.

 

NAO:

So your failure at work was the trigger for you to join the Toastmasters.

By the way, you are called “airport uncle” by the members…

 

 

Mr.A:

Oh, yes, that’s right.

I’m an “airport uncle”.

I work in airport customs.

 

NAO :

If you work in customs, you may have opportunities to speak English as well as Japanese in some situations.

how long have you been a member of Toastmasters?

 

Mr.A:

It has been six years.

 

NAO :

Six years! You are an expert speaker!, aren’t you?

 

Mr.A:

No, not at all.

I belonged to various TMCs in the past, first to Shinbashi TMC and now to Kanagawa TMC and Chiyoda TMC.

I found out about Chiyoda TMC through a chance I helped with a national convention.

I thought, “This is a good place to work because it is bright and cheerful.

 

NAO :

It is true that many members of Chiyoda TMC are cheerful and unique.

Now, the next question.

 

What is the most impressive event in Chiyoda TMC that comes to your mind?

 

Mr.A:

Memorable events…is a speach training camp in Atami.

 

 

NAO :

WOW

Chiyoda TMC has a training camp?

 

Mr.A:

Oh, yes, yes.

The training camp is a lot of fun.

It can discover unexpected humanity

 

NAO :

You are a mood maker, and you can sense people’s feelings and relieving them.

 

Now ,next question.

How have you changed after you joined in Toastmasters?

 

Mr.A:

Well, I think it has become easier to do business.

Other than that…I am able to dress up as a Cosplay.

 

NAO :

HAHAHA..

Certainly, You can’t 　do　 cosplay  if  you’re  worried about other people’s gaze.

 

Mr.A:

Yes, that’s right.

I was able to take control of the conversation of my own volition.

 

 

NAO :

That is wonderful.

 

Now, the last question.

Who do you want you recommend Toastmasters to?

 

 

Mr.A:

If you are worried about work or private life, please visit Chiyoda TMC!

If you want to cosplay but can’t, please go to Chiyoda TMC!

 

 

NAO :

Thank you, Mr.A.

But,There is’nt cosplayer club , so you don’t be afraid.：D

This club has “psychological safety” that accepts people with any unique personalities.

 

 

In this interview, Mr.A, who had failed in negotiations with his business partner.

He told us that he became able to strike back words when negotiating with others on his own initiative through a series of speeches and other activities at TMC.

 

I believe  who have trouble negotiating with others may have received a hint .
